Building Responsible AI
At AvatarForge, we believe powerful AI tools come with a responsibility to build them ethically. Our commitment to responsible AI is embedded in every aspect of our platform.
Our AI Principles
Consent
Every AI avatar requires verified consent from the individual being depicted. We implement multi-step consent verification including identity confirmation, usage scope agreement, and revocation rights.
Transparency
All AI-generated content is clearly labeled and includes metadata indicating it was created using AI. We support the C2PA standard for content provenance and authenticity.
Fairness
Our models are trained and tested to minimize bias across demographics. We conduct regular fairness audits and publish diversity metrics for our training data and model outputs.
Safety
Multiple layers of safety controls prevent misuse of our platform. Automated content moderation, human review for flagged content, and strict acceptable use policies protect against harm.
Privacy
Biometric data (face, voice) is handled with the highest security standards. Users control their data with full rights to access, export, and delete. We never use customer data for model training without explicit opt-in.
Accountability
We maintain detailed audit logs for all content creation, publish transparency reports, and have established an independent Ethics Advisory Board to oversee our AI practices.
Deepfake Prevention
We have implemented comprehensive measures to prevent the misuse of our platform for creating harmful deepfake content.
Content Authenticity (C2PA)
AvatarForge is a founding member of the Content Authenticity Initiative. All AI-generated content includes C2PA metadata that provides a tamper-evident record of how the content was created.
- C2PA manifest embedded in all exported media
- Tamper-evident provenance chain from creation to distribution
- Verifiable creator attribution and creation timestamps
- Compatible with major social platforms' authenticity checks
Acceptable Use Policy
Our acceptable use policy ensures the platform is used responsibly. Violations result in content removal and account suspension.
Ethics Advisory Board
Our independent Ethics Advisory Board includes experts in AI ethics, digital rights, media law, and civil liberties. The board reviews our policies, audits our practices, and provides guidance on emerging ethical challenges in AI media.
